Stare Down and Randomness

While I was getting dinner ready, these two had some time to chat, or stare or play a rocking back and forth game.  I love that they are starting to play together.
Raegan also enjoys a good power struggle with her Dad.
One minute, she wants to suck on his face...
And the next she plays hard to get...
Until recently, Raegan was winning this power struggle, but I think Jeff is making a comeback!
And I love this girls toes!  She loves them too!
We went to the Astros/Cubs game last night.  It was fun and we made it through 7 innings.  The Cubs lost, but we still had a good time.

5 months

Well, another month gone and Raegan is now 5 months old.  She continues to grow and learn and make us smile everyday!
She sits up well, but not on her own.
She doesn't roll yet (and I'm happy about that!)
She has tried watermelon, but is still exclusively nursing.
She quit sleeping through the night, but then the last 2 nights she is again.
She isn't a great napper, but sleeps well at night.
She is a thumb sucker.
She smiles at anyone who gets her attention and makes eye contact with her.
She loves to play with toys and grabs at and sucks on anything close.
She is so special and brings smiles to our faces everyday!

And of course, her brother had to sit with his big, little sister!

Mother's Day 2012

I had a great Mother's Day and it was actually more of a weekend then a day.
I told Jeff on Saturday I wanted to spend the day as a family and do something fun, so we took the kids mini golfing.  It was Harrison's first time and we had a lot of fun.  Raegan slept through half and did well the rest of the time.

Then all on his own, Harrison made me this awesome picture.  He asked me how to make an M, I showed him and he then asked how to spell mom.  Told him how and he showed me this.  I almost cried!

Sunday we relaxed, Jeff cooked some amazing food including recreating the Shake Shack burger.  Oh My! and chocolate lava cake to top off the day!  I was in heaven.
I have the best husband and best kids!  Jeff had to speak in church on Sunday so he had to spend some weekend time on his talk, he still managed to make it a wonderful Mother's Day.

I didn't get any pictures with my kids but still got some of them together.  I love these two!  And a shout out to my own amazing Mom and Mother in Law.  We love you both and know that we wouldn't be where we are today without your amazing mothering talents!

Growing like weeds!

My kids are growing up way to fast.

Raegan used to just smile on the floor...

But within the last week and a half, she has been sitting up more, with assistance from her Exersaucer...
 And Bumbo...

And we have introduced her first food...Watermelon. I just put it in the bag and she sucks the juice out.  She loves it (and I can't get enough of those eyes)!
And Harrison is quite the helper.  When he can't pick up the watermelon, he still wants to help and just decided to roll it into the kitchen for me.  Thanks Buddy!

Aunt Devi comes to visit!

My little sister, Devin, came in for a visit this last week from California and we loved having her and her dog for a week.
She and Haji Moon where a lot of fun and I think Harrison was bored today with just me and Raegan!
We found a few fun parks around town to play at.
And of course, Raegan gets to spend some time in the stroller.
She does get out every once and a while though.

While she was here, Raegan discovered her toes.  Apparently, Daddy had to show her.
But then I think she figured it out just fine!
We found a great dog park to spend the day at.

The last day she was here we made the trip with 2 kids and a dog downtown to check out Discovery Green. Hoji loved the space to walk and the dog run while Harrison enjoyed the water and the playground.

We also managed to see the super moon but missed the meteor shower that was supposed to be the same night.  I guess the moon was just too bright.
My sister also does infant massage training so I learned some great stuff for Raegan and even some things for Harrison.  Thanks again Devin for coming.  We loved having you and Haji for a week!

Splash Pad here we come!

We made our first trip of the season to the Splash Pad in our neighborhood almost 2 weeks ago now.  It was a nice day and we invited some friends along.  We are looking forward to many more trips this summer before the pool opens Memorial Day weekend!  Let me know if you would like to join us!
Lounging by the pool.

Another Fun Comparison

Well, if you didn't think my kids looked alike...what do you think about Raegan looking like her Momma?  I found these pictures and I'm not sure how old I am, but I couldn't get over how much she looks like me.  I have to be about 4 months which is how old Raegan is in these as well.  And although our birthdays are just 6 days apart, I was born in a much colder climate then Raegan.
Jeff found his clone in Harrison and now I think I have one too!  The pictures of me look really harsh, but that is the best I can do with my scanner...sorry!
