Spark Preschool-Mounted Patrol

For Harrison's preschool, we went on a field trip to visit the Houston Mounted Police Patrol.  Last year I took Harrison on this same field trip and it didn't go so well.  He was pretty scared around the horses.  This year...totally different.  He loved the horses and fed them until we were told to stop.  There were less horses this year and we fed them outside, so maybe that made the difference, but it was a fun trip either way!

Even Raegan surprised me and walked right up to a horse and fed it.  I thought it was so funny how not scared she was of these huge animals.  Either way, after the first horse, I let the police officer help her so I could get a picture of her.  She was one brave little baby!
She even enjoyed nibbling on a few carrots herself.

Harrison enjoyed having some friends there too to help feed the horses.
And then they let us try on their patrol helmet and hat.  Also a fun part of the day.
It was a fun trip overall and a much better experience then last year!

Houston Temple

In April we went to a ward activity with the kids that involved the temple grounds.  It was a fun experience to walk around the temple with my kids and explain to even Raegan the feelings that we feel there.  Harrison was with other kids his age and learned a lot!  It was a great activity and I'm glad the weather in late April was still cool enough for us to really enjoy it.  I hope we can bring our kids back again soon!  They had someone taking pictures of each of the kids, but I haven't gotten those yet, so until then, here are a few action shots.
