A little of life (and what I have on my camera)

After we finished our pictures, we spent the rest of the afternoon out at a park.  The kids fed the ducks and played.

And Bode napped in the car most of the time, so here are some pictures of her recently.  This little girl loves to smile...
 and sleep...
 and stick her tongue out.
These last two aren't the greatest quality, but they show a little of what it is like having 2 older siblings.  She is happy as can be even with food on her head left over from a slobbery kiss from her big sister.

My kids tire me out every single day, but I love my time with them and wouldn't want it any other way.

Family Pictures

Well, it's that time of year again. I try to make sure that every fall we get new family pictures.  We could have gotten them done this summer by my awesome sister in law at the beach, but we decided that we wanted to include Bode outside of me for the pictures.  So my awesome sister took them here in Houston instead.  Here they are...

Cute kids

 Loving sisters

A happy family of 5.  Wow, sometimes this still shocks and amazes me!

This is the one that we decided to use on our Christmas cards.

And just for fun-a not so happy family of 5.

2 months

Our little Bode babe is so fun and such an easygoing baby.  Sometimes I wonder if we wouldn't forget her because she is so easy.  She will fall asleep on her own if we don't lay her down, she loves to look around at what other things are going on and she will smile or even laugh when you make eye contact with her.

This is one of the few crying pictures we have of her.  She went to the Dr. for her 2 month check up and shots were pretty rough.  Her legs were sore and I touched them to put her on the couch.
She quickly changed though and was happy after that.  At the Dr. her measurements were great!  She is growing quickly and has filled out nicely since her 6 lb 9 oz arrival.  She is now 12 lb 14 oz and is almost 24 in long, putting her at the 75th and 50th percentiles.  Then her head is in the 90th percentile, but is anyone surprised!  She is a Ward baby!! :)
She is sleeping well and usually between 7-8 hours at night.  Then she eats and goes back to sleep for another 2-3 hours.  She eats like a champ and loves to watch what is going on around her.  She smiles, laughs and coos.  She isn't really into toys yet, but loves to watch things around her.
She is always staring around with a funny look on her face or a smile.
She is really the perfect 3rd child.  She isn't a lot of work and is just happy to be around everyone.  She is patient with her older siblings who love her a little too much sometimes and patient with me as I am not always ready to feed her or pick her up until the other two are taken care of.  She is just awesome and I love watching her little personality blossom...and her legs are fun to watch grow too:)
So our only question is...who does she look more like?  We think she is a good mix of the two kids.

Happy Halloween (and all of its activities)!

I feel like Halloween is quite a long holiday.  I guess we do a lot of activities and we enjoyed the festivities.  I mean who doesn't involve a holiday with free candy and pumpkin guts!?

First, our annual trip to the "Pumpkin Patch"-Texas style.

Raegan loved the corn box.  This was a lot easier to clean up then sand too!

 Skeleton hands.

 This was our best take.
Then came the ward Trunk or Treat.  This year Harrison wanted to be a Lego Zombie.  So, the girls then got to be Lego bricks.
We went to the zoo for the Zoo Boo activities.  I forgot my camera, but the kids had a great time and got candy, a pumpkin and tattoos.

We carved our pumpkins another night.
Before
 And after.
Then on Halloween the kids waited through the monsoon like rain and we had a quiet day inside until we let them out after dinner to go trick or treating to some neighbors.  Harrison loved it, Raegan lasted for about 4 houses and Bode was just along for the ride.
Love this cute girl and her smiling face!!

All ready to go trick or treating.  Like I said, they didn't last long but had a great time after handing out candy to the kids who came to our house.  I would say that we had a great Halloween and now we just need to get through all the candy we got!

October Randomness

So, October rolled on and seemed to fly by.  My sister, Deana, celebrated her birthday shortly after Harrison.  We had fun celebrating with her and enjoying ice cream together that night after presents.

And the kids continue to make me laugh...

Jeff gave Bode her first cookie and she is less then thrilled!
Raegan loves to make her silly "smile" face.
Harrison managed to catch a lizard in the backyard and wanted to keep it.  I let him "play" with it until the poor thing looked almost lifeless and then we let it go.
Bode seems to spend most of her day like this...
or this.  She is an amazing baby and I couldn't have hand picked a better third child. She goes with the flow and doesn't seem to mind the chaos that is around her always.  Keeping her fed is the only requirement she seems to have.
Raegan spends most of her time outside when we will let her.  She loves to swing and will stay in the swing as long as someone will push her (the other day it was 45 minutes and then we bribed her to get her out!)  She also loves climbing to the top of the slide, but will not slide by herself.  She will sit and wait for me to hold her hand all the way down.  Sometimes she will wait a long time, so I'm hoping she will go down by herself soon without being scared...we will see!
