Beach Weekend

Valentine's Day weekend we decided to hit the road and leave cold Houston (okay not really cold) for a warmer climate.  Really, we tagged along on what was supposed to be my sister's weekend with her friend visiting, but because of weather their plans changed.  But we still enjoyed a relaxing weekend in Corpus Christi.  (I was later informed by Jeff that if you are from Texas, it is just Corpus, so I guess we went to Corpus for the weekend.)

The weather was about the same as Houston, but the beaches are much better then Galveston.  And the house was out on Padre Island, so we were only a few blocks from a few beaches.

We got a nice little place on the canals.
The kids loved exploring.
My three little beach babies.
Raegan preferred the sand to the water.

Harrison loved it all and spent time building in the sand, playing in the water and admiring the work of other creators.
Harrison always enjoys exploring with his Dad too.
We even enjoyed some beach sunsets.
Reagen liked getting into her bag and wondering around in parts of outfits.
Deana was trying to capture a sunset and I guess I wanted to photobomb?
The actual sunset was pretty awesome!

This was Bode's first beach trip and although she didn't really touch the water or spend much time in the sand, she seemed to enjoy being outside and hanging out watching the rest of us.

The local beach community was fun too.  We found this awesome store where you walked through a shark mouth to the store.  Harrison loved it...Raegan clung to me crying like I was really feeding her to a shark.  She got a little better though.
