Spring Break Part 1

Well, spring break for us was awesome and will take 3 blog posts since it involved nearly 1000 pictures taken collectively.  So, I'm breaking it up into travel and Legoland, California Adventure and Disneyland with travel home.  So enjoy...because I know we did!

So, back when Deana decided to come live with us and help us, she decided that a great thing to do would be to take us to Disneyland as a thank you, but really, who was thanking who?  We had the trip of a lifetime and everyone came home tired and happy.

The week-long adventure started with 2 days in the car.  There was a lot of this...
And this...
And this...
Luckily, there were 3 adults, so Jeff and Deana took turns driving and I managed the kids in the back.  They were really great.  Not a lot of screaming and no one got car sick!  There was a lot of iPad time, movies, food and books, but really, did I expect them to do what I did as a kid and play car games and color?  Nope and they were great. We spent the night with my old roommate Melissa in Phoenix and spent the morning with her before finishing off our drive.

We arrived at our condo on Sunday with enough time to unpack, get some food and let the kids run around before putting everyone to bed for an early wakeup to go to Legoland the next morning.

So, Monday was Legoland and it was Harrison's happy place.  He loved every minute of the rides, the Legos and characters.  He had certain characters he was hoping to meet, but was happy overall that we saw any characters.

The start of the day.
The Bionicle ride.

Watching the Clutch Powers 4D movie.
This little gem put up with being passed around, carried around and pushed around all week and for the most part, was happy about it.
Raegan loved it too.  She spent forever in this car.  She also found a little Duplo village and went up and down the slide there more times then I can count.
 Lego City police.
Mini-land.  They had all sorts of cities and people built out of Legos.  It was fun and we even did a boat tour through part of it.

Harrison also found all sorts of Star Wars stuff.  We took pictures by everything so here are a few of the highlights.

While we were looking at all the mini lands, Raegan found the stairs and played there most of the time.
Her favorite ride was these little airplanes.
I think Harrison's favorite ride was these cars.  He was totally in control and drove well.  Harrison was really in heaven the whole day though so it's hard to say what his favorite thing was.
We took turns with the kids and the rides and I guess Daddy and Raegan had fun taking selfies while waiting for the rest of us. This was my favorite.
Meeting another character.
 Raegan kept her distance.
 Rainbow made out of Legos.

The end of the day. We were there from open to close and still didn't get to do everything, but we did a lot and everyone left tired and happy.
On the way back up the coast, we stopped at In N Out for dinner (I guess that is a requirement if you are in Cali) and went to the ocean to eat.  The kids played and we watched the surfers.  The sunset was pretty awesome too!
