Christmas Time Adventures

Jeff had a nice, long break from school in December and we loved every minute of it!  We managed a few different nights out to see the Christmas lights and enjoyed the second year of our new Christmas tradition of heading downtown to old Historic River Oaks to see the lights.  It is awesome and we all love to drive the old tree lined streets and see the displays.  This year we even found a house with a large train track going around a tree outside...it was awesome!

Then the traditional Santa pictures.  Raegan did better this year.  She promised to smile for pictures as long as I didn't make her sit on Santa's lap.  It worked well for the first 2 Santa's, but for Santa number 3, she wouldn't even go in the room.  Bode was scared to death everytime we got close, so 2 Santa's was enough for her as well.  Poor Santa #3 at our church Christmas party didn't get any pictures!

We got our own tree up and it was great...it only had ornaments on the top half thanks to this little one...
But there is something about a live tree that I just love.  And this tree was loved by all.
 And filled with presents.
Almost every night, we would walk around our cul-de-sac and see the different lights.  The kids loved it and Bode would hug this little Penguin every night.  Almost makes me want to get a blowup...almost!  And I realized we forgot to get pictures of our own lights.  We did pretty well this year and stocked up on the after Christmas clearance so next year, I'll get pictures.
My 3 favorite Christmas elves :)
We went to a fun little Christmas party at a neighbor's house and the kids did a little live nativity.  Harrison was a shepard and Raegan was Mary.  She held that little baby bundle so well and long after they were done.  She is a little baby lover!!
