Our newest Trick

So, he was close to doing this Wednesday, but then by that night he was able to push up from stomach to sitting up.  It is crazy because it was just last week that I got brave enough to let him sit up by himself and now he is not only sturdy enough but he is getting there himself.  He is growing to fast!

JAIL!

So I was doing dishes on Thursday night and put Harrison on the floor.  Then he went from stomach to sitting up next to the chair.  Then I turned around to do dishes and turned around not more than a minute later and he was under the chair.  Somehow, he got under the chair and sitting back up again without me even seeing it...Tricky!!

And with that face he thinks he is getting away with something.  He wasn't able to get out though.  He was trapped in jail.  Oh-well, I love that face!!

What Happened in TX...Part 1

Hanging out in Daddy's room.  That is where we spent a lot of time!!

After a game of Rummikub, Harrison had his turn to play.  That involved sticking the tile holders in his mouth.  Gone are the days where we can play a game with Harrison's hands off.  (Grandma Ward warned us this day would come too soon!)
Apparently Dad's shoe is better then any toy.  At least at that moment.  Dad's feet look big when compared to Harrison.
We went out to eat quite a bit and after our first few times, we finally got brave and put Harrison in a high chair.  It was great.  He was so happy to be up and we had hands free to enjoy our food.  Of course, we had to keep all the food out of reach.  He did catch part of that basket though and Jeff had a fun time trying to get it away from him.
But then he just enjoyed his time sitting up and being at the table.

After hitting the 6 month mark on Easter, we decided it was time to introduce baby cereal and he didn't seem to excited.  I think more got outside of him then inside of him.  Par for the course.
It is starting to grow on him after a few days, but it has created some issues with the digestive system but we are working through that!
Going for a walk and enjoying the sunny, warm TX weather.
And a trip to the park.  Too bad he got a leaf in his mouth and choked after this so we went home.
Thought we would try the hat backward and he was more than willing to smile for me.  What a cheese ball!!

What Happened in TX...Part 2

We dyed Easter eggs for the first time with Harrison.  It was fun (not that he did much) but after this picture, he kicked that egg out of Jeff's hand and it was totally cracked.  Oh-well, at least it was already boiled!

So then we tried a new egg with mommy.
And we had a great time playing.  Jeff was hoping he would crawl while we were there, but no such luck.  He is very close though.

Harrison's first Easter.  I don't think he was very excited until he saw the basket.  Then he scooted right at it.

And went for the grass...which we quickly got rid of.
And then the eggs were a big hit.  Daddy started wondering why the Easter bunny even bothered with a new toy.  So far he has played with the basket more than the toy or the egg.
While we were there, Harrison slept on the floor. We made it pretty nice, but we swaddled him every night even though he doesn't stay in his swaddle well anymore.  It was piece of mind knowing he wouldn't be all over the floor all night.
