4th of July!

Happy (late) Independence Day! It was a crazy, but relaxing weekend for us. I got back from UT on Saturday morning (pictures and stories from that trip should be coming soon!) and had people waiting for us at our house. Jeff's parent's were here for the weekend and we were looking forward to some fun 4th of July activities. But, TX had other plans. The weather here was not the greatest as we were on the outskirts of Hurricane Alex and got tons of rain over the weekend. Oh-well, we still had a great time and loved to celebrate our country's birthday.
Harrison prefers story time over just about anything these days. He had time to sit and read with Papa Ward while they were here.
I got caught! Harrison wasn't very happy that I got in the way of his story!
We went out to a great dinner with Jeff's parents instead of BBQing in the rain. It was a wonderful dinner and sometimes it is nice to just go out and not worry about everything.
Then Jeff made a wonderful Key Lime Pie and I only got a picture of the crust. The pie was gone too quickly.
We had a great weekend enjoying family time and celebrating our country. I am so grateful for the the freedoms we have and the people who sacrifice (past, present and future) to insure that we continue our way of life.

God Bless America!
