Spring Break Part 1

Well, spring break for us was awesome and will take 3 blog posts since it involved nearly 1000 pictures taken collectively.  So, I'm breaking it up into travel and Legoland, California Adventure and Disneyland with travel home.  So enjoy...because I know we did!

So, back when Deana decided to come live with us and help us, she decided that a great thing to do would be to take us to Disneyland as a thank you, but really, who was thanking who?  We had the trip of a lifetime and everyone came home tired and happy.

The week-long adventure started with 2 days in the car.  There was a lot of this...
And this...
And this...
Luckily, there were 3 adults, so Jeff and Deana took turns driving and I managed the kids in the back.  They were really great.  Not a lot of screaming and no one got car sick!  There was a lot of iPad time, movies, food and books, but really, did I expect them to do what I did as a kid and play car games and color?  Nope and they were great. We spent the night with my old roommate Melissa in Phoenix and spent the morning with her before finishing off our drive.

We arrived at our condo on Sunday with enough time to unpack, get some food and let the kids run around before putting everyone to bed for an early wakeup to go to Legoland the next morning.

So, Monday was Legoland and it was Harrison's happy place.  He loved every minute of the rides, the Legos and characters.  He had certain characters he was hoping to meet, but was happy overall that we saw any characters.

The start of the day.
The Bionicle ride.

Watching the Clutch Powers 4D movie.
This little gem put up with being passed around, carried around and pushed around all week and for the most part, was happy about it.
Raegan loved it too.  She spent forever in this car.  She also found a little Duplo village and went up and down the slide there more times then I can count.
 Lego City police.
Mini-land.  They had all sorts of cities and people built out of Legos.  It was fun and we even did a boat tour through part of it.

Harrison also found all sorts of Star Wars stuff.  We took pictures by everything so here are a few of the highlights.

While we were looking at all the mini lands, Raegan found the stairs and played there most of the time.
Her favorite ride was these little airplanes.
I think Harrison's favorite ride was these cars.  He was totally in control and drove well.  Harrison was really in heaven the whole day though so it's hard to say what his favorite thing was.
We took turns with the kids and the rides and I guess Daddy and Raegan had fun taking selfies while waiting for the rest of us. This was my favorite.
Meeting another character.
 Raegan kept her distance.
 Rainbow made out of Legos.

The end of the day. We were there from open to close and still didn't get to do everything, but we did a lot and everyone left tired and happy.
On the way back up the coast, we stopped at In N Out for dinner (I guess that is a requirement if you are in Cali) and went to the ocean to eat.  The kids played and we watched the surfers.  The sunset was pretty awesome too!

Happy St. Paddy's Day 2014

Happy St. Paddy's Day (a little late) from my cute, little 1/8th Irish Babies.

And besides wearing our green, we managed to make a traditional shepard's pie for dinner and had our Irish Scones a few days late since we got back from our trip the day before!

Funny Kids!

Just some funny pictures I have taken recently.

Bode had a mohawk...it was brief and I was told by her dad never to do it again!
The kids love to play in the car and usually when we get back from somewhere I let them play while I unload groceries, stuff and Bode.  I came back to get them and this is what I got.  These two were ready to ride!

All that cuteness is just exhausting!
Hide and seek is a common game at our house and we are trying to teach Raegan how to play correctly.  Starting with counting with her eyes closed.  Deana is helping her, but when you tell her to close her eyes, she makes sure they are nice and tight (at least for 2 seconds) before opening them up before anyone has a chance to hide.

6 months

This little girl has been with us half a year now but is cuter then ever!  She is off the charts in growth and character.  We could not be more in love and she could not be a better baby!  (Well, maybe if she took a bottle, but I guess we can't expect a perfect baby!)

I took her to the Dr. and she is my first baby to be over 50th percentile in her height at 6 months.  She is just over 18 lbs (88th percentile), 26 in. tall (55th percentile), and her head is in the 96th percentile.  She is big and so squishy and lovable.

She loves to babble and Jeff will claim she is saying her first word.  Dadda is often the sound that comes out.  She is controlling her sounds more now and screeching less which is nice.  She still loves to smile and laugh and put anything you put close to her in her mouth.
She has also started rolling over and rolls all directions and tries to push with her legs too.  It won't be long and she will be...never mind, I don't want to think about that!
We have started some solids.  She has had rice cereal, carrots and beans.  She likes it all, but loves to play with the bib, the spoon and anything else she can reach when we are feeding her.  Feeding time gets messy!
She sleeps well, but not quite as good as she used to be.  I keep trying to move her bed time up to a 7-7 range rather then a 9-9 range, but if I put her to bed at 7 she wakes up around 10 and then again around 5 or 6 before sleeping until 9.  But if I let her stay up until 9, she almost always sleeps until 8 or 9 with no problems.  I guess she likes to stay up late and enjoys the quiet time after the kids are in bed.
She loves her mommy and recognizes me from other people, but unless she is really hungry, she doesn't usually favor me over other people.  She loves to watch the kids play and loves to look at people's faces and be involved in the action.  She is such a sweet baby who puts up with a lot of abuse love from her siblings!

We all love our little Bode Babe!
